Objective To analyze the effect of continuous improvement of nursing quality in the management of adverse events in psychiatric ward. Methods A total of 120 inpatient cases in our hospital from February 2020 to February 2021 were selected as the research objects, and they were divided into two groups according to the difference in quality management mode, with 60 cases in each group. The effects of different management modes on the incidence of adverse events were compared and analyzed. Results By comparing the satisfaction of patients family members and patient compliance between the two groups of patients during the treatment process, there were advantages in the observation group, P<0.05. There were 6 adverse events in the observation group during the study period, including 2 damages, 1 self-injury, 1 wounding, 1 non-compliance with medical prescriptions, and 1 escape, while 13 adverse events occurred in the control group, and 5 were destroyed. 3 cases of self-injury, 2 cases of injury to others, 1 case of non-compliance with medication, and 2 cases of fleeing, P<0.05. Conclusion Implementing continuous improvement of nursing quality in the process of nursing management in psychiatric ward can effectively reduce the incidence of adverse events, improve patient satisfaction, and increase patient compliance.
