Abstrat Objective To study the effect of security management care model on viral encephalitis patients with psychotic symptoms.Methods Between October 2013 and October 2015, 120 patients with viral encephalitis along psychotic symptoms were chosen as research object, and they were divided into observation group and control group. The control group received routine care mode, while the observe group received security management care model based on usual care. To compare The incidence of unsafe events, remission time, hospital stay, medication adherence and satisfaction with care for two groups. Results The incidence of unsafe events for observation group and the control group were 21.67% and 38.33% respectively, the incidence for the observation group was significantly lower than the control group, the difference was significant (P <0.05); Remission time and hospital stay for observation group were significantly shorter than the control group, medication adherence was significantly higher than control group, these differences were significant (P <0.05); Nursing disputes and complaints rate of satisfaction scores for observation group were significantly higher , nursing quality control scores and security incidents alerted score was also significantly higher than control group, the difference was significant (P <0.05).Conclusion Security management care model can reduce the incidence of unsafe events, accelerate disease recovery, greatly improving nursing satisfaction.
