〇bjective To explore the content and positive rate of serum GAD-Ab in the patients with differ-ent course of schizophrenia. Methods 174 cases of schizophrenia patients were taken as the research object, they were divided into group A(disease course less than5 years, n=104) and group B(disease course was5 years or more, n=70) according to the disease course, simultaneously, 174 cases of psychological normal volunteers were enrolled in the control group(group C). The serum GAD-Ab contents and positive rate of the Lhree groups were compared and analyzed. Results ①The serum GAD-Ab content of group A was(1.43+0.44) was considerably higher than that of group B(1.25+0. 30) and group C(0. 50+0.27) (P<0.01). The serum GAD-Ab contents of group C was the1owest, which has statistica1 differences with group A and group B.② There was no positive case of serum GAD-Ab in group C, 31 positive cases were detected in group A(positive rate was29. 81%) , and its posi- tive rate was the highest in three groups, it has obvious difference with group B(15.71%) and group C(0.00%) (P<0.01). Conclusion The content and positive rate of serum GAD-Ab of schizophrenia patients were signifi- cantly higher than that of normal controls, thus the determination of GAD-Ab has certain reference value in distin- guishing normal controls and schizophrenia.
