〇bjective To explore the curative effect of acanthopanex injection combined with fluoxetine inthe treatment of senile dementia with depressive symptoms. Methods 118 cases of senile dementia complicated with depression patients who were treated in our hospital were divided into observation group and control group, the control group receivedfluoxetine, while the experimental group received acanthopanex injection combined withfluox- etine. Compare Lhe HAMD score of these two groups pretherapy and posL-treatment, and evaluate their life quality and adverse reaction with WHOQOL and TESS, respectively. Results After the treatment, there were significant changes in both HAMD and WHOQOL scores in both of these two groups, the HAMD score of observation group was markedly lower than control groups(P<0.01), WHOQOL score was significantly higher than control group(P< 0.01) , no statistical difference was observed in TESS score between the two groups(P>0.05). Conclusion Ac- anthopanex injection combined withfluoxetine could relief the depression emoLion of senile dementia patients, and improve their life quality as well as have high security. Hence, acanthopanex injection combined with fluoxetine is worth of clinical application in the treatment of senile dementia complicated with depression.
