[Abstract]　Objective　 To investigate the prevalence、demographic characteristics and social life function of mental disorders in the people aged 60 years and above in Tianshui.Methods　From November 2014 to May 2015, Using multi-stage stratified cluster random sampling method people aged 60 years and above, a total of 2430. By the extended version general health questionnaire (GHQ-12) and the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-IV-TR (SCID-I/P), we screened and diagnosed all of the people who were included in the population. Using the general functional rating scale (GAF) evaluation function. Results　①Total 2416 subjects were completed the survey. The adjusted current prevalence of any mental disorder was 177.14‰（95%CI：12.43%～25.25%）.The three most prevalence specific disorder were major depressive disorder（87.73‰）、due to the body condition of mood disorders（26.33‰） and not otherwise specified anxiety disorder（15.80‰）. The lifetime prevalence of mental disorders was 192.28‰（95%CI：13.53%～27.32%）.②The time point prevalence:The overall current prevalence of mental disorders was higher in women（212.96‰）than in men（142.9‰），and in urban residents（238.31‰）higher than in rural residents（166.46‰）. The prevalence rate decreased with the increase of age，among which 60-69 years old was 221.03‰, 70-79 years was 150.43‰and 80 years and above was 110.34‰.Conclusions　 Tianshui in the people aged 60 years and above mental disorder prevalence is higher. Mood disorder are conditions that deserve special attention.
