【Abstract】Objective To investigate the clinical effect of milnacipran combined with electroacupuncture in patients with moderate depression and its effect on serotonin (5-HT) and dopamine (DA) levels. Methods A total of 102 patients with moderate depression admitted to hospital from January 2016 to December 2017 were selected and divided into control group (n=51) and observation group (n=51) according to different treatment methods. The control group treated with milnacipran, and the observation group treated with milnacipran and electroacupuncture. The treatment efficacy, HAMD-17 score, CGI score, serum 5-HT, and DA levels were compared between the two groups. Results After 8 weeks of treatment,the efficacy rate of the observation group was 76.47% ,which was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).After 8 weeks of treatment,the HAMD-17 ,CGI of the observation group was better than that of the control group（all P<0.05）.After 8 weeks of treatment,the 5-HT and DA of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion The use of milnacipran combined with electroacupuncture in patients with moderate depression can improve the clinical efficacy, improve the symptoms of patients, and increase serum 5-HT and DA levels. It is worthy of popularization and application.
