【Abstract】 Objective: To evaluate the psychological impact of natural disaster typhoon "Lichima" on the affected communities in Yongjia area shanzao village, and give the guidance to the follow-up psychological rescue. Methods: The psychological crisis intervention personnel used the event impact scale (impact of event scale revisedIES-R) and the mental health self-assessment questionnaire (self-reporting questionnaire-20,SRQ-20) respectively to assess the performance of the post-traumatic stress symptom group of the affected communties and the general mental health status of the affected communties after the disaster in 79 bereaved relatives and the directly affected communties in Yongjiashan sanzao village. At the same time, three dimensions of IES-R are carried out to analyze the post-disaster impact of affected communties. Results: There was no significant difference in IES-R and SRQ-20 positive screening rates between male and female groups: IES-R (40.51% male vs female); SRQ-20(32.91% male and female); and 2. The difference was statistically significant (p<0.05)，however,there were no statistics difference n avoidance, arousal(p>0.05. Conclusion: The psychological crisis intervention personnel should carry on timely and effectively after psychological evaluation and analysis on the different nature of the affected communties, ensure to reduce the psychological trauma of the affected communties and promote the healing of psychological trauma.
