Objective To evaluate the application effect of a dialysis catheter external fixation bag without medical glue in temporary internal jugular vein hemodialysis catheter. Methods 40 dialysis patients who underwent temporary double lumen catheter placement of internal jugular vein in this dialysis center were randomly divided into observation group and control group. The control group was wrapped with traditional sterile gauze and fixed with medical adhesive tape, and the observation group was fixed with special catheter fixing bag. Results the incidence of medical adhesive re- lated skin injury in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (χ2=240, P<0.001); The stability of catheter fixation in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (χ2=117.6, P<0.001), and the satisfac- tion of the observation group was significantly better than that in the control group (M=11.1978, P<0.005). Conclusion the use of this hemodialysis catheter external fixation bag has the advantages of simple operation and firm fixation. It is a beautiful and comfortable temporary fixation method of hemodialysis internal jugular vein catheter, which can effectively avoid medical adhesive related skin damage and improve the stability of catheter fixation, patient comfort and satisfaction.
