Objective To investigate the nursing methods and clinical effects of preventing pulmonary complications after lobectomy in elderly patients with lung cancer. Methods 100 elderly patients with lung cancer who came to our hospital for lobectomy within one year (study selection time: January 2020 to January 2021) were randomly selected as the research subjects, and all patients were randomly divided into the control group according to the random number table method (50 cases, using routine nursing) and observation group (50 cases, using optimized nursing), the nursing data of the two groups were collected, and the results were compared and analyzed. Results After different nursing methods, both groups of patients achieved certain effects to prevent pulmonary complications. However, after comparison, it was found that the incidence of pulmonary complications in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group. Self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) ) scores and Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS) scores were lower than those in the control group, and the quality of life scores were also significantly higher than those in the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusions Optimized nursing for elderly patients with lung cancer after lobectomy can more effectively prevent pulmonary complications and achieve good clinical results, which is worthy of vigorous promotion in clinical practice.
