Objective To explore the effect of comprehensive nursing on elderly patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia during perioperative period. Methods: the study period was from March 2021 to June 2022. A total of 60 patients were selected from the urology department of our hospital. They were divided into the study group and the control group, with 30 people in each group. The rehabilitation effects of the two groups were compared. Results: after comprehensive nursing intervention, the scores of negative emotion (SDS and SAS) and vas in the study group were lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05); After operation, the patients in the study group had shorter time to exhaust their anus, resume eating and get out of bed for the first time than those in the control group. The average daily sleep time and the overall nursing quality score of the patients in the study group were higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05); The MFR level in the study group was closer to the normal value, and the IPSS symptom score was lower (P < 0.05); The number of postoperative complications in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: comprehensive nursing care for the elderly patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia during perioperative period can shorten the treatment time and promote the rapid recovery after operation.
