Objective: To summarize the clinical characteristics and treatment experience of patients with multiple organ failure caused by heavy drinking for discussion and communication. Methods The diagnosis and treatment of a patient with multiple organ failure caused by drinking a large amount of alcohol in a short time in a high altitude primary hospital were retrospectively analyzed. Results The function of important organs was recovered effectively by early and active treatment. Conclusions A large amount of alcohol consumption in a short period of time can cause serious complications such as damage to important tissues and organs of the whole body, acid-base imbalance, electrolyte disorder, etc. Timely diagnosis and selection of appropriate treatment can effectively reduce the complications and reduce the mortality of patients.
