Sheng, as one of the oldest national musical instruments in my country, has risen and fallen in the history of thousands of years. In the 20th century, with the joint efforts of many outstanding performers, new songs came out one after another, the techniques were varied, the styles were very different, and the talents came out in large numbers, which ushered in another glorious era. The traditional classic solo pieces and the novel concerto pieces have their own characteristics, and a hundred flowers are blooming, showing a thriving situation. This article mainly analyzes the traditional works and modern works of the sheng, and discusses the creation, performance, and existing inheritance and development of the sheng.
