Objective To explore the effect of nursing intervention on the elderly patients with intertrochanteric fracture undergoing locking plate internal fixation. Methods from January 2021 to April 2022, 60 patients were selected from the Department of orthopaedics in the hospital. They were divided into the study group and the control group, 30 in each group, to compare the nursing effects. Results after the intervention, the self-concept and sense of responsibility of the study group were gradually strengthened, and the mastery of disease health knowledge and self-care ability were improved (P < 0.05); Before the intervention, the hip joint function and activity of the two groups were severely limited. After the intervention, the joint function score and activity range of the study group were significantly better than that of the control group (P < 0.05); The perioperative indexes of the study group were better than those of the control group; Patients in the study group had stronger ability of symptom, emotion control and self role identification (P < 0.05). Conclusion the elderly patients with intertrochanteric fracture receive perioperative nursing, and the recovery speed is fast, the hip joint function is improved, and the self-care ability of the patients is significantly improved.
