Methods: In 686 project management of rural communities, the 105 cases of patients (the actual completion of 99 cases) with severe mental illness who taken the sexual risk behaviors were selected as experimental group and received comprehensive intervention; another 686 project management of the rural community, 110 cases (the actual completion of 100 cases) were selected and set as control group. According to the actual situation of the patients, the experimental group received the intervention model which included psychological intervention, family intervention, labor intervention ect, on the basis of conventional drug treatment; the control group only received routine drug treatment, did not received comprehensive intervention, two groups both received the intervention for 1 year. Respectively before intervention, 6 months and intervention 12 month, the positive and negative symptom rating scale (PANSS), Mania Rating Scale, HAMD, dangerous sexual behavior assessment scale were evaluated. Results: Intervention for 6 months and 12 months, the PANSS total score, manic score, depression score in the experimental group and the control group of than the intervention before the difference had statistical significance (P < 0.05), the PANSS total score, positive symptoms, negative symptoms score, manic score, depression scores between the two groups were statistically significant (P < 0.01). The recurrence rate of risk behaviors in control group was higher than that in the experimental group (p<0.01), and the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion: Comprehensive intervention model can help to reduce the risk of recurrence rate and improve the treatment effect.
