Objective To explore the application effect of standardized hierarchical linkage health education in patients with drug-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis. Methods 74 patients with drug-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis who were admitted to our hospital from August 2024 to September 2025 and met the research conditions were selected. A random control method was adopted, and the patients were divided into the study group (n=37) and the control group (n=37). The control group received routine nursing intervention, with a focus on health education. The study group applied the standardized hierarchical linkage method on the basis of the control group, and the nursing effects were compared. Results Both groups of patients had good compliance in disease treatment and control process. The treatment compliance of patients in the study group was higher (91.89% > 75.68%), P < 0.05. The occurrence of adverse reactions in the disease treatment process of both groups of patients was controlled to a certain extent, and the control effect of adverse reactions in the study group was better (10.81% < 24.32%), P < 0.05, and the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion In the process of nursing patients with drug-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis, through standardized hierarchical linkage health education, it can further improve patients' cognition of pulmonary tuberculosis and their current state, guide patients to cooperate well in the treatment and nursing stages, ensure the smoothness of the entire treatment and nursing process, and continuously improve the physical condition of patients.
