Objective The purpose of this study is to explore the effect of PDCA circulation nursing mode on elderly patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease accompanied by anxiety and depression. Methods The subjects were selected from the elderly patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease with anxiety and depression admitted to our hospital from January 2025 to January 2026, and 92 patients who met the inclusion criteria were selected and divided into the reference group and the observation group according to the admission time. The reference group was given routine nursing, while the observation group was given PDCA circular nursing mode, and the scores of negative emotions, symptoms and quality of life were compared. Results Compared with the reference group, the scores of negative emotions and quality of life in the observation group were higher (P<0.05). The symptom score of the observation group was lower, and the condition improved significantly (P<0.05). Conclusion PDCA circulation nursing mode can not only improve patients' negative emotions, but also help to relieve their symptoms and improve their quality of life for elderly patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease with anxiety and depression.
