Pathological diagnosis is the “gold standard” for the diagnosis of most diseases in modern medicine, especially tumor diseases. However, the accuracy of pathological diagnosis is limited by various factors, among which the quality of pathological tissue slices is the foundation of pathological diagnosis work, and tissue slice fissures are a major chronic disease that seriously affects pathologists' interpretation. To avoid misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis, it is necessary to analyze the causes of tissue slice fissures from multiple angles and multiple layers, and provide targeted remedies to ensure the accuracy of pathological diagnosis. This article starts with the types of tissues that are prone to causing slice fissures, explores in depth the causes of pathological tissue slice fissures, and summarizes several remedial measures for tissue slice fissures based on the author’s years of practical experience.
