Objective To explore the application effect of multimodal pain management in postoperative patients of thyroid and breast surgery, and evaluate its impact on pain control, rehabilitation indicators and postoperative complications. Methods 100 patients undergoing thyroid and breast surgery in a certain hospital in 2025 were selected and divided into two groups for control. 50 patients in the control group received conventional analgesia, while 50 patients in the observation group received multimodal pain management, including preoperative prevention, intraoperative block, and postoperative drug and non-drug intervention. The postoperative VAS scores, PONV incidence, first time to get out of bed, hospital stay days, medication dosage and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The VAS scores and PONV incidence at each time point after surgery in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group. The first time to get out of bed and hospital stay days in the observation group were shorter, and the dosage of opioid drugs was reduced by 36.7%, with higher satisfaction. There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups. Conclusion Multimodal pain management can alleviate postoperative pain, reduce adverse drug reactions, promote rehabilitation and improve satisfaction, and is worthy of clinical promotion.
