Objective To investigate the application of a comprehensive rehabilitation nursing system in elderly patients with osteoporotic spinal fractures and its impact on quality of life. Methods A total of 78 elderly patients with osteoporotic spinal fractures admitted between July 2024 and December 2025 were enrolled. Patients were randomly assigned to Group J (n=39) receiving the comprehensive rehabilitation nursing system and Group P (n=39) receiving conventional nursing care. Pain levels, lumbar spine function, self-care ability, and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results Preoperatively, there were no statistically significant differences in pain levels, lumbar spine function, self-care ability, or quality of life between the two groups (P>0.05). Postoperatively, both groups showed improved outcomes in pain levels, lumbar spine function, self-care ability, and quality of life, with Group J demonstrating significantly better results than Group P (P<0.05). Conclusion The comprehensive rehabilitation nursing system demonstrates greater efficacy in improving quality of life for elderly patients with osteoporotic spinal fractures and is worthy of widespread adoption.
