Abstract Objective To explore the effect of compliance intervention model on the stigma and self-respect of patients with schizophrenia (SCH).Methods A total of 120 patients with SCH were randomly divided into experimental group and control group,each with 60 cases.The control group received conversional nursing model while the experimental group received compliance intervention model. Before and after nursing 2 months, Stigma Scale for Mental Illness (SSMI-C), Rosenbergs Self-Esteem Scale (SES), General Wellbeing Scale (GWB),Insight and Treatment Attitude Questionnaire (ITAQ) and Personal and Social Performance Scale (PSP) were used for evaluation and comparison between two groups. Results 2 months after the intervention, the scores of SES, GWB, ITAQ and PSP in experimental group were significantly higher than before intervention and supuror than control group(P<0.05),the dimensions rating scores of SSMI-C scale were significantly lower(P<0.05),and the medication compliance was significantly higher (P<0.05).Conclusions The compliance intervention model may help the patients to enhance the compliance compliance, improve the stigma, self-esteem,wellbeing and the social function.
