Objective To analyze the medical value of applying a full-course nursing plan in the treatment of schizophrenia patients with electroconvulsive therapy without convulsions; Methods A total of 100 schizophrenia patients who received electroconvulsive therapy without convulsions in our hospital from January 2024 to December 2024 were included in the experimental study. They were divided into a control group of 50 cases with routine care and an observation group of 50 cases with full-course care. The fear scores and confidence scores in seeking medical treatment, MCMQ coping styles, and compliance of the two groups before and after care were compared. Results Before nursing, there was no statistically significant difference in the nursing indicators between the two groups (P > 0.05). However, after nursing, the observation group had a lower FOP-Q score for fear of disease progression, a higher CCS score for confidence in seeking medical treatment, and better MCMQ scores for coping styles and higher compliance. The differences in these indicators were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion The application of a full-course nursing plan in the treatment of schizophrenia with electroconvulsive therapy without convulsions can reduce the fear of the disease, enhance confidence in seeking medical treatment, encourage patients to adopt positive coping strategies, and improve their cooperation with the treatment.
