Objective To analyze the clinical effect of collective psychotherapy on improving the psychological reasoning ability impairment of patients with early-onset schizophrenia. Methods 86 patients with early-onset schizophrenia admitted to the psychiatric department of our hospital from June 2023 to June 2025 were selected and randomly divided into an intervention group and a control group using a random number table method. The control group received routine treatment and care, while the intervention group received group psychotherapy on this basis. Results After 12 weeks of intervention, the intervention group showed significantly higher accuracy in recognizing misspoken cognitive tasks compared to the control group, and the accuracy of emotion recognition tasks in the eye area improved more significantly (P<0.05); The decrease in negative symptom scores and the increase in personal and social function scale scores in the intervention group were significantly greater than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Collective psychotherapy can promote the recovery of psychological reasoning ability in patients with early-onset schizophrenia through interpersonal interaction.
