【Abstract】Objective To observe the influencing factors of anxiety and depression in elderly patients with osteoporotic compression fracture (OVCF). Methods Clinical data of 100 elderly patients with OVCF who were treated in our Hospital from January 2022 to January 2024 were retrospectively analyzed. According to the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), The elderly OVCF patients were divided into normal mood group (HADS≤7 points, n=62) and anxiety and depression group (HADS > 7 points, n=38). The relevant baseline data, visual analogue scale (VAS) score, serum Norepinephrine (NE) level and 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) level were compared between the two groups. Multivariate Logistic regression was used to analyze the risk factors of OVCF with depression and anxiety in the elderly.. Spearman correlation coefficient was used to analyze the relationship between depression and anxiety. Results The VAS score, NE and 5-HT levels in the anxiety and depression group were higher than those in the normal mood group 7 days after surgery (P＜0.05). Multivariate Logistic regression analysis confirmed that the increase of VAS score, NE level and 5-HT level 7 days after surgery were all risk factors for depression and anxiety in elderly patients with OVCF (P＜0.05). Correlation analysis showed that HADS score was positively correlated with VAS score, NE and 5-HT (P＜0.05). Conclusion Elderly patients with OVCF are prone to depression and anxiety, and VAS score, NE level and 5-HT level 7 days after surgery are all factors affecting depression and anxiety in elderly patients with OVCF, which should be given sufficient clinical attention..
