[Abstract] Objective To explore the effect of behavioral change theory psychological nursing on emotion and cancerous fatigue during neoadjuvant therapy for breast cancer. Methods Ninety patients with breast cancer from May 2022 to December 2023 were included, all of whom were treated with neoadjuvant therapy. They were randomly divide into two groups using the number table method. Forty-three patients in the control group received routine psychological care, while 47 patients in the observation group received behavioral change theory psychological care. The anxiety, depression, and cancerous fatigue before and after nursing care were compared. Results After nursing, the Self Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Self Rating Depressed Scale (SDS) in both groups decreased compared to before nursing, but the observation group had lower scores than the control group after nursing (P<0.05). After nursing, the cognitive, physical, emotional and other cancer-related fatigue scores of both groups were significantly reduced, but the observation group had lower scores than the control group in all aspects after nursing (P<0.05). Conclusion Behavioral change theory psychological nursing can effectively reduce anxiety and depression during neoadjuvant treatment of breast cancer, and alleviate cancerous fatigue.
