[Abstract] Objective To explore the effect of Roy's adaptation model in the psychological care of leukemia patients. Methods The study subjects were 90 cases of leukemia patients from January 2021 to January 2024, which were randomly divided into two groups of 45 cases each by numerical table method. The control group used conventional psychological care, and the observation group used Roy adaptation mode psychological care. Comparison of Hamilton anxiety scale (HAMA), Hamilton depression scale (HAMD), Herth hope index (HHI), Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) and Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) before and after the nursing care. quality index (PSQI). Results HAMA scores and HAMD scores decreased in both groups after care, but both 2 scores were better in the observation group than in the control group after care (P < 0.05). HHI score increased and PSQI index decreased after nursing care in both groups, but both scores were better in the observation group than in the control group after nursing care (P < 0.05). Conclusion The Roy Adaptation Model for psychological care of leukemia patients significantly reduces anxiety and depression and enhances the level of hope as well as the quality of sleep.
