[Abstract] Objective To explore the effect of humanistic care combined with affectionate nursing on anxiety and fear of children with tracheopneumonia. Methods Ninety cases of children with bronchopneumonia were selected from January 2023 to April 2024 and randomly divided into two groups by numerical table method. The control group used conventional care, and the observation group used humanistic care combined with affectionate care. The screen for child anxiety related emotional disorders (The screen for child anxiety related emotional disorders, SCARED), treatment adherence, and clinical symptom relief time were assessed before and after care. Results The children's generalized and separation anxiety scores as well as somatic, social, and school fear scores decreased in both groups after care, but were significantly lower in the observation group than in the control group after care (P < 0.05). Treatment adherence in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P < 0.05). The disappearance time of shortness of breath, cough and fever in the observation group was significantly shorter than that in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Humanistic care combined with affectionate nursing can reduce anxiety and fear in children with bronchopneumonia, improve treatment compliance, and promote clinical symptom relief.
