Objective To explore the relationship between injury behaviors among Involuntary Hospitalization Schizophrenics and their socioeconomic status and to provide theoretical foundation for Schizophrenia management in community. Methods 44 involuntary hospitalization schizophrenia patients with injury behaviors were recruited from January 2013 to December 2015, A 1:2 case-control study was conducted with 88 schizophrenia patients without injury behaviors were recruited during the same time period as control group, matched by age(±5). We used our self-designed questionnaires to collect socioeconomic status information from two groups. Results Single factor analysis showed that local residence, enrollment in community schizophrenia management program, character, marital status, household income, guardianship, medication, injury history, age at first onset and duration of symptoms were significantly different among schizophrenia patients who had Injury behaviors and who did not have（t/2/Z=11.23、12.74、7.28、7.16、8.97、33.00、16.17、37.23、25.70、29.47、-2.33， P＜0.05）.The multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that marital status, guardianship, enrollment in community schizophrenia management program, and injury history were the main factors affecting injury behavior among Schizophrenics. Conclusion Injury behavior of Schizophrenics are related to marital status, guardianship, enrollment in community schizophrenia management program, and injury history were the main factors. We should focus on strengthening the above factors in community management.
