From the perspective of national translation practice, this paper takes the bilingual series CHINESE CIVILIZATION·Stories from Henan as the research object, and adopts the analytical method of textual comparison to explore the characteristics of national translation practice embodied therein, the English translation strategies employed, and their enlightenment significance for the national translation practice of Central Plains culture. As a local practice example of the external translation of Central Plains culture, its topic selection deeply echoes national translation practice and highly aligns with the national translation landscape, highlighting the supporting role of local translation practice in the national translation landscape. In terms of English translation strategies, the series adopts "dual-layer decoding" for culture-loaded words, balancing cultural uniqueness and the efficiency of meaning transformation; it primarily employs foreignization for the translation of political discourse, balancing the original essence of the discourse and cross-cultural understanding; and it relies on digital technologies to build a multi modal translation system to enhance international communication effectiveness. In short, the dissemination of Chinese culture requires the integration of a national overall framework and local in-depth efforts. Continuous efforts should be made in such areas as the cultivation of translation talents, the expansion of technology application scenarios, and the construction of an international communication ecosystem, with a view to further enhancing the international communication power of traditional Chinese culture.
