Common Prosperity is not merely a distributional issue of material wealth but also a significant subject regarding social psychology and affective governance. Drawing on the perspective of affective politics, this paper proposes that affect is a complex concept with a hierarchical structure. Based on differences in intrinsic nature, degree of rationality, and capacity for action, it divides affect into three segments: Emotion, Reason-Emotion, and Value.The study argues that from an affective perspective, Common Prosperity germinates from individuals' primal affective demands rooted in their lived reality, is constructed through the circulation of emotion and consensus-building characterized by empathy, and finds its ultimate fulfillment in the profound value experiences derived from shared harmony. This constitutes a recursive loop evolving from emotional impulse to the construction of reason-emotion, and finally to the sublimation of value.The paper proposes that to advance Common Prosperity within the context of the Chinese path to modernization, it is essential to construct a solid and effective affective foundation and dynamic mechanism by fostering a social atmosphere of truth-seeking , cultivating goodness-seeking empathy, and establishing values of shared beauty.
