This study takes the cultural relics collection of the Gansu Bamboo and Wooden Slips Museum as its research object, focusing on the foreign translation practice of Gansu bamboo and wooden slips culture and the construction of digital communication strategies. The research first systematically elucidates the diverse cultural value of Gansu bamboo and wooden slips, then points out the core bottlenecks in their translation work, namely: the lack of unified norms for professional terminology and the singularity of communication channels. On this basis, this paper systematically reviews relevant research achievements, specifically covering three major directions: research on the translation of bamboo and wooden slips, research on museum digital transformation, and research on the application of cross-cultural communication theories. By introducing typical practical cases, this study delves into two key types of translation strategies: first, the strategy for standardizing the definition of bamboo and wooden slips terminology, and second, the strategy for the cross-contextual transmission of culture-loaded words. Simultaneously, considering the trends in digital technology development, it innovatively proposes three communication pathways: the construction of a digital resource database, the development of online interactive exhibitions, and the dissemination of lightweight content on social media platforms. Finally, the study proposes practical suggestions from the two dimensions of cultivating interdisciplinary talent and systematic project planning, aiming to provide both theoretically valuable references and operable practical solutions for the international communication of Gansu bamboo and wooden slips culture.
