Abstract
Woodcarving is an important carrier of Chinese excellent traditional culture. In recent years, many woodcarving creation enterprises in China have, with their exquisite relief and round carving techniques, created works that combine artistic aesthetic value and cultural connotation, providing a solid support for the dynamic inheritance of woodcarving techniques. This paper focuses on how to empower the inheritance of woodcarving intangible cultural heritage through digital technology and elaborates on the specific methods of digital technology enabling the inheritance of woodcarving intangible cultural heritage from four dimensions: digital acquisition and storage, virtual display and dissemination, creative design and teaching, and industrial integration and innovation. It proposes implementation strategies for enabling the inheritance of woodcarving intangible cultural heritage through digital technology, such as strengthening government guidance and policy support, enhancing school-enterprise cooperation and talent cultivation, and adhering to the balance between tradition and modernity. The aim is to promote the new vitality of traditional woodcarving techniques in the digital age and accelerate the inheritance and popularization of intangible cultural elements.
