[Abstract] Objective To explore the effect of nursing intervention based on roy adaptation model (RAM) on treatment compliance and quality of life in patients with bipolar disorder.Methods 66 patients with bipolar disorder were randomly divided into control group and observation group according to admission time from April 2014 to November 2015 in XX hospital,33 cases in each group.The control group was teated with routine nursing intervention, the observation group was treated with nursing intervention based on RAM. Treatment compliance,Bech-rafaelsen mania rating scale，(BMRS）,Self-rating depression scale(SDS),Self-rating anxiety scale(SAS) and quality of life were compared between the two groups before and after the intervention.Results Before the intervention, there were no significant differences in SDS, SAS and BNRS scores between the two groups (P> 0.05);After the intervention, the scores of SDS, SAS and BNRS in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05);The total compliance rate of the two groups was 93.94% (31/33) in the observation group and 69.70% (23/33) in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05);There were no significant differences in the quality of life scores between the two groups before intervention (P> 0.05);After intervention, compared with the control group, the quality of life scores in the observation group were higher, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05).Conclusion RAM-based nursing intervention in patients with bipolar disorder can significantly relieve the manic, depressive and anxious degree of patients, improve the treatment compliance and improve the quality of life, which is of great significance in clinical treatment.
