Traditional Chinese Medicine believes that the fundamental pathogenesis of diseases originates from the dysregulation of qi movement characterized by disordered ascending, descending, exiting, and entering mechanisms. Consequently, all therapeutic interventions in TCM ultimately aim to restore the harmonious equilibrium of yin and yang through qi regulation, thereby achieving the classical physiological state described as "tranquil yin consolidating yang essence, ensuring vital spirit governance." Jueyin syndrome is primarily characterized by yin-yang imbalance and a complex interplay of cold and heat. From the perspective of Jueyin syndrome’s pathogenesis involving mixed cold-heat and yin-yang disharmony, this paper explores the effects of Wumei Pill in harmonizing yin and yang, regulating qi movement, and its clinical applications. By integrating clinical experience from the Geriatrics Department of Yancheng Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine with classical and modern medical insights, this study provides a reference for the contemporary clinical use of Wumei Pill. The findings aim to bridge historical theoretical foundations with contemporary therapeutic practices, offering novel perspectives for managing complex clinical presentations characterized by concurrent deficiency-excess and cold-heat interlock patterns.
