Objective To explore the application value of intraepidermal injection of triamcinolone acetonide combined with CO₂ dot matrix laser in the treatment of hypertrophic scars. Methods 78 patients with hypertrophic scars were selected from our hospital from November 2024 to August 2025. The patients were randomly divided into two groups by drawing lots: the control group (n=39) was treated with CO₂ dot matrix laser, and the observation group (n=39) was treated with intraepidermal injection of triamcinolone acetonide combined with CO₂ dot matrix laser. The treatment effects of the two groups of patients were compared. Results The observation group showed better scar, pain, and itching conditions after treatment compared to the control group, with significant differences (P<0.05). The skin characteristics of the observation group patients after treatment were superior to those of the control group, with a significant difference (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), epidermal growth factor (EGF), and transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGF - β 1) in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion In the treatment of hypertrophic scars, the combination of intraepidermal injection of triamcinolone acetonide and CO₂ dot matrix laser therapy can help improve patients' scars, pain, itching, skin characteristics, as well as VEGF, EGF, and TGF - β 1 levels. The effect is significant and worthy of promotion.
