Abstract Objective: To investigate the anesthetic effect of remifentanil and fentanyl in patients with schizophrenia. Methods: a total of 80 patients with schizophrenia were treated with stereotactic radiofrequency ablation of brain nuclei in our hospital from January 2014 to December 2015. According to the random number table method were divided into remifentanil group (n=40) and fentanyl group (n=40). Remifentanil group was given remifentanil anesthesia, fentanyl fentanyl anesthesia. Results: the remifentanil group after intubation, skin incision at lower SBP and DBP than before anesthesia (P<0.05); fentanyl group after intubation, increase skin, eyes open when the SBP and DBP higher than before anesthesia (P<0.05); remifentanil group after intubation, skin incision, open your eyes and SBP DBP lower than fentanyl group (P<0.05); reduce the remifentanil group after intubation, skin incision rate than before anesthesia (P<0.05); fentanyl group after intubation, skin, eyes open cut increase heart rate before anesthesia (P<0.05); remifentanil group after intubation open your eyes, skin incision, heart rate lower than fentanyl group (P<0.05); remifentanil group postoperative cognitive function recovery time and stopping to open faster than in the fentanyl group (P<0.05). Conclusion: remifentanil anesthesia is better than fentanyl in patients with schizophrenia.
