Objective To explore the effect of psychological intervention combined with standardized nursing on the stress response of family members of critically ill children in emergency pediatrics. Methods 70 family members of critically ill children who received treatment in the emergency pediatrics department of our hospital from March 2024 to March 2025 were selected as the research subjects. Randomly divided into a control group and an exploration group, with 35 cases in each group. The control group received routine care. The exploration group received psychological intervention combined with standardized nursing care. Results The psychological pressure and anxiety scores of the families of the children in the exploration group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05), and the nursing satisfaction was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion For the treatment of critically ill children in emergency pediatrics, clinical attention should be paid to the stress response of their parents. While providing scientific and standardized clinical nursing care for the children, effective psychological intervention should be implemented for the families to reduce their negative emotions and improve nursing satisfaction. This is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
