Objective To study the impact of the integrated medical and nursing model on the postoperative quality of life of patients with heart valve diseases. Methods This study included 70 patients with heart valves who underwent surgical treatment and were admitted to our hospital as the research subjects. They were evenly distributed to the control group (35 cases, receiving routine care) and the study group (35 cases, receiving the integrated medical and nursing care model) by the random number table method. Compare the intervention effects of the two groups. Results Compared with the control group, the patients in the study group achieved significant reductions in three indicators: recovery of bowel sounds, first out-of-bed activity, and total hospital stay. In addition, the 6-minute walking distance of the study group was significantly longer than that of the control group, and its quality of life score was also significantly better than that of the control group. The differences in all indicators between the groups reached a statistically significant level (P < 0.05). Conclusion The implementation of the integrated medical and nursing care model in patients with heart valves undergoing surgical treatment can effectively improve the postoperative quality of life of patients and accelerate the recovery process.
