Abstract: The family members of suicide attempters have played an important role in patient care and suicide prevention. The study shows that family members during the event will experience the sense of shame, tension, stress, depression, anxiety, helpless and other psychological status. In addition, the psychological needs of family members include dilemma adaptation, social support, emotional and medical care ，suicide prevention and other information needs, which require the timely assistance from professional staffs. In future studies, the relationship between influencing factors and interventions for family members can be explored in depth.
