Objective To analyze the role of 4R crisis theory-oriented nursing in elderly emergency infusion patients. Methods A total of 100 elderly patients receiving emergency infusion in our hospital were randomly selected for a group study. They were divided into an observation group and a control group by the random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. During the infusion treatment, patients in the control group were given routine care, while those in the observation group were provided with care guided by the 4R crisis theory. The nursing effects of the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results Compared with the control group, the quality of nursing and the infusion compliance of patients in the observation group were significantly improved. The incidences of adverse infusion events and adverse drug reactions in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the final nursing satisfaction obtained was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Implementing 4R crisis theory-oriented nursing in elderly emergency infusion patients can further improve the quality of clinical nursing services, enhance patients' infusion compliance, thereby reducing the difficulty of nursing work and decreasing the occurrence of infusion adverse events and adverse drug reactions.
