Objective To analyze the effect of applying standardized nursing management in the handover of critically ill patients both inside and outside the hospital. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 30 critically ill patients received from January 2022 to January 2023 as the research subjects, who were set as the control group and received routine in-hospital and out-of-hospital handover nursing management. A retrospective analysis was conducted on 30 critically ill patients received from January 2024 to January 2025 as the research subjects, who were set as the observation group and received standardized nursing management. Compare the nursing management effects of the two groups. Results (1) The incidence of unexpected events and nurse-patient disputes in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05), with a significant difference and statistical significance. (2) The satisfaction rate of family member care management in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05), which was a significant difference and statistically significant. (3) Regarding the shift handover effect, the scores of each group in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05), which was considered a significant difference and statistically significant. (4) The handover time was shorter in the observation group than in the control group (P<0.05), which was considered a significant difference and statistically significant. Conclusion The application of standardized nursing management in the handover of critically ill patients both inside and outside the hospital has a better effect and is worthy of promotion and implementation.
