Objective To investigate the impact of continuing care based on the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and the Cancer Survival Scale for Cervical Cancer (FACT-Cx) on postoperative anxiety and quality of life in patients with cervical cancer. Methods Sixty patients with cervical cancer who underwent surgery in the Department of Gynecology of our hospital from January 2023 to October 2024 were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 30 patients in each group. The SAS and FACT-Cx were used for assessment at discharge and one month after discharge. Based on the scores, personalized psychological guidance and dietary, activity, and self-care instructions were provided via WeChat groups and telephone. The control group received only routine discharge guidance. Results One month after intervention, the SAS score in the observation group (30.7±1.5) was significantly lower than that in the control group (50.9±1.8), and the total FACT-Cx score (118.6±4.5) was significantly higher than that in the control group (96.3±3.8). Both differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Continuing care based on the SAS and FACT-Cx scales can effectively alleviate postoperative anxiety in patients with cervical cancer and improve their quality of life.
