Objective To explore how remote health guidance affects the medication compliance of patients with diabetic retinopathy (DR). Methods The study was conducted from June 2023 to June 2024. Thirty patients were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group, with 15 cases in each group. The control group was given routine care, while the experimental group was given remote health guidance for half a year. Results After the intervention measures, the experimental group was significantly better than the control group in terms of medication compliance score (7.20±0.77 vs 5.40±1.29) and self-management behavior score (6.73±0.59 vs 5.20±1.11), and these differences were statistically significant (all P<0.001); The level of glycated hemoglobin in the experimental group (7.08±0.65 vs 8.43±1.05) was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.001). The awareness rate of disease knowledge in the experimental group (66.7%vs 13.3%) was significantly higher than that in the control group (P=0.009). Conclusion Remote health guidance can effectively promote the medication compliance, self-management ability and mastery of disease knowledge of DR Patients, and improve blood glucose control.
