Objective To explore and evaluate the effect of safety management for hospitalized elderly patients from the perspective of risk prevention and control. Methods 80 hospitalized elderly patients in our hospital from January 2024 to December 2024 were selected as the research object. The number of patients was randomly divided into control group and observation group according to the computer system model, with 40 cases in each group. According to different nursing modes, the control group was given routine nursing, while the observation group was given safety management nursing from the perspective of risk prevention and control. The knowledge level, adverse events, quality of life (SF-36) and nursing satisfaction of the two groups were compared. Results After nursing, the patients in the observation group were better than those in the control group in safety management knowledge, quality of life and nursing satisfaction, and the incidence of adverse events in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, with statistical significance (p<0.05). Conclusion The application of risk prevention and control in the safety management of hospitalized elderly patients can improve patients' knowledge of safety management, reduce adverse events, and thus improve the quality of life and nursing satisfaction, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
