Objective To explore the effectiveness and clinical value of early rehabilitation nursing in stroke patients. Methods A retrospective study was conducted on 66 stroke patients admitted to our hospital from January 2023 to January 2024. Using a randomized digital table method, patients were divided into control group (33 cases) and observation group (33 cases). The control group received standard care, while the observation group received early rehabilitation nursing including rehabilitation assessment, positional care, exercise training, speech and swallowing therapy, psychological intervention, and complication prevention. Comparison was made of neurological deficits scores (NIHSS), Barthel Index (BI), average hospitalization duration, and complication rates before and after interventions. Results No statistically significant differences were observed in pre-intervention indicators between groups (P>0.05). Post-intervention, the observation group showed lower NIHSS scores and higher BI scores compared to the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.01). The observation group also demonstrated shorter average hospital stays and reduced complication rates (P<0.05). Conclusion Early rehabilitation nursing significantly promotes neurological recovery and self-care abilities in stroke patients, improves rehabilitation quality, and is clinically recommended for widespread adoption.
