Objective To apply operating room nursing in patients undergoing laparoscopic ovarian tumor resection and explore its application effect. Methods A total of 88 patients who underwent laparoscopic ovarian tumor resection in our hospital from July 2024 to July 2025 were selected and randomly grouped. 44 patients in the control group received routine care, and 44 patients in the observation group received operating room care. The nursing results of the two groups were compared. Results The comparison of the operation duration and hospital stay between the two groups showed that the observation group had a shorter duration (P<0.05), and the comparison of intraoperative blood loss between the two groups showed that the observation group had less (P<0.05). Before the intervention, there was no significant difference in the SAS and SDS scores between the two groups (P>0.05). After the intervention, the scores of each group in the observation group were lower (P<0.05). Before the intervention, there was no significant difference in the SF-36 scores between the two groups (P>0.05). After the intervention, the SF-36 score of the observation group was higher (P<0.05). The comparison of the incidence of complications between the two groups showed that 4.55% was lower in the observation group (P<0.05). Conclusion For patients undergoing laparoscopic ovarian tumor resection, the application of operating room nursing can shorten the operation time, reduce intraoperative bleeding, improve patients' negative emotions, enhance the quality of life, reduce postoperative complications, and shorten the hospital stay. It has high application value.
