Objective To observe the effect of standardized operating room cooperation and nursing on the therapeutic effect of extracorporeal circulation surgery in cardiac surgery. Methods A total of 70 cases were randomly selected from cardiac surgery patients who underwent extracorporeal circulation surgery in our hospital from July 2023 to July 2025. According to the order of admission, the patients were divided into a control group of 35 cases (conventional nursing) and an observation group of 35 cases (standardized operating room cooperation and nursing). The impact of nursing methods on the treatment effect of the two groups was analyzed. Results The quality of postoperative nursing management in the operating room and the degree of improvement in patient compliance with nursing treatment in the observation group were higher than those in the control group. The time spent by patients after surgery (extubation, restoration of normal diet, first mobilization, hospitalization) was shorter than that in the control group, and the incidence of postoperative complications was less than that in the control group. Ultimately, patient satisfaction with nursing was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion After implementing standardized operating room cooperation and nursing in patients undergoing cardiopulmonary bypass surgery in cardiac surgery, the quality of operating room nursing management and patient compliance with nursing treatment are relatively ideal, shortening the time required for various clinical indicators, reducing the incidence of postoperative complications, and improving patient satisfaction with nursing.
