Objective To explore the preventive effect of anticipatory nursing on neonatal red buttocks. Methods 128 newborns admitted to our hospital from September 2023 to September 2024 were randomly divided into a control group (conventional nursing, 64 cases) and an observation group (predictive nursing, 64 cases) using a random number table method. Compare the incidence of red buttocks in two groups of newborns, parents' mastery of nursing skills, and parents' satisfaction with nursing models. Results After nursing, the incidence of red buttocks in the observation group of newborns was lower than that in the control group. Parents' newborn care skills (hygiene, feeding methods, diaper replacement) and nursing satisfaction scores (nursing attitude, skill operation, health education) were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Proactive nursing can effectively prevent the occurrence of red buttocks in newborns, improve parents' nursing skills for newborns, and increase parents' satisfaction with nursing models.
