Objective To explore the diagnostic value of transvaginal ultrasound and hysteroscopy for endometrial lesions in elderly women. Methods A total of 150 elderly patients suspected of having endometrial lesions admitted to our hospital from January 2024 to January 2025 were selected. All subjects underwent vaginal ultrasound and hysteroscopy examination in sequence, and the pathological examination results were used as reference standards to analyze the clinical value of hysteroscopy and transvaginal ultrasound examination. Results The detection rate of hysteroscopy in various endometrial lesions was higher than that of transvaginal ultrasound, and the resolution rate of hysteroscopy images was higher than that of transvaginal ultrasound. The difference between the groups was significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Hysteroscopy and transvaginal ultrasound play a crucial role in the diagnosis of endometrial lesions in elderly women. Among them, transvaginal ultrasound can serve as an effective means of preliminary screening, while hysteroscopy has shown outstanding advantages in identifying the cause of lesions.
