【Abstract】Objective:To investigate the relationship between the efficacy of metformin in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and its mental health and serum monoamine neurotransmitter concentration. Methods: ① PCOS patients given metformin tablets oral treatment, continuous medication for 12 weeks. The BMI index and waist-to-hip ratio (WHR) of PCOS patients were calculated before treatment, and the follicular stimulating hormone, corpus luteinizing hormone and testosterone, dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate, sex hormone-binding globulin And the initial depression and anxiety of PCOS patients were scored at the same time. ② All the patients were divided into single depression or anxiety group, depression with anxiety group and non-PCOS group. The HAMA and HAMD scale scores and the concentration of monoamine neurotransmitters in the patients were analyzed. Results: ①The contents of BMI, WHR and serum T, DHEAS, LH, FSH and SHBG were improved in patients with PCOS after treatment, and the data before and after metformin treatment were statistically analyzed, and the difference was significant. The levels of H, NE and the levels of HVA and 5-HIAA in the depression and anxiety group were significantly higher than those in the non-PCOS group. (3) Compared with the single depression or anxiety group, the levels of HVA and 5-HIAA in the depression group were significantly lower than those in the control group Group, the concentration of E and NE in the depression group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P <0.05). (3) According to Spearman analysis, the scores of HAMA and HAMD and serum monoamine neurotransmitters and metabolites Relevance, but no significant correlation. Conclusion: Metformin oral drugs can not only improve the metabolites of patients with PCOS, but also improve the mental state and abnormal mood of PCOS patients. PCOS patients with depression and anxiety and serum monoamine neurotransmitter abnormalities, serum monoamine neurotransmitters can reflect the brains monoamine neurotransmitter balance, is the diagnosis of depression and anxiety important objective indicators
