[Abstract] Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) on mental disorders. Methods 300 cases of Parkinsons disease in our hospital from February 2014 December ~2016 year period (Parkinson s disease, PD) induced depression disorder in patients after admission and (or) families informed under the subthalamic nucleus (subthalamic nucleus, STN) DBS (STN-DBS) treatment, after 6 months of follow-up observation of patients with mental the improvement of depressive disorder. Results all patients successfully completed treatment and follow up of STN-DBS, after 3 months, 6 months, the effective rate was 63.67% (191/300), 75% (225/300), the overall effect is satisfactory, 3 months after 6 months of treatment significantly higher after operation, the difference was statistically significant (P< 0.05); the postoperative HAMD scores were significantly lower than those before treatment, 6 months after surgery, HAMD score less than 3 months after the operation, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05); treatment and follow-up period, no obvious adverse reactions. Conclusion deep brain stimulation is helpful to improve the symptoms of mental disorders. The curative effect is significant, the safety is good, and the clinical application value is remarkable.
